Pike County Health Department, Home Health & Hospice has continually ensured the service of a public walk-in clinic, and in January 2015 was able to staff a full time nurse to provide a clinic that is available to the community full-time as well.

Walk-In Clinic Services offered:
Without a required physician’s order:
Blood pressure checks
Blood sugar checks
Hemoglobin A1c test
Lipid profile (must be fasting)
CDC recommended immunizations
STD Testing (includes Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Chlamydia & HIV through state public health lab. Hep C Testing through Hep C alliance.)
*certain testing requirements must be met
With a physician’s order:
Lab work per venipuncture or finger stick
Dressing changes/wound care
Filling of Medisets/and or insulin syringes
RN services also available with a physician’s order:
Peripheral/PICC line/Central line dressing change and/or flush Port-a-Cath accessing, flushingCCC, and/or dressing change
Minimal charges are requested to cover the cost of supplies, but will not turn away patients if they are unable to pay.
We are able to offer some of our services free of charge or at a discounted rate, thanks to our Public Health Initiatives: “Our effort to a healthy community through education and health services.” Throughout the year our agency hosts events and fundraisers that help us cover the costs of these, and many other free and discounted services within our agency.
