The Hunter Behlmann Memorial Farm Safety for Just Kids chapter was established in 2006 and is part of the national Farm Safety for Just Kids organization. Our farm safety chapter provides educational opportunities to children and youth about safe practices on and off the farm and addresses the hazards that come with living in a rural community. Chapter activities include a farm safety day camp, school presentations and community events.
Here is a glimpse at what you can expect with a Farm Safety for Just Kids Presentation:
In memory of Hunter James Behlmann August 7, 2001 – April 5, 2005
“Hunter James Behlmann was a great surprise to the Behlmann family in August 2001. As he joined in the fun on the farm with his older siblings Hunter wanted to do everything that they did! A lot of times not the safest thing to do! Everyone always thinks nothing can happen but Hunter was tragically taken at age 3 from falling from a farm implement. You can learn farm safety or be reminded of farm at any age! Everyone needs to be reminded to be safe and don’t take it lightly!” – Marilyn Behlmann
