As Missouri students prepare for the upcoming school year, certain vaccinations are required for those entering 8th and 12th grade. To make this process easier for families, the Pike County Health Department will be traveling to local schools to provide these important immunizations on‑site.
During these school‑based clinics, our public health nurses will offer the state‑required Tdap and Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccines. For students under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the online consent form prior to their school’s clinic date. Once the form is submitted, it gives our nursing staff permission to safely administer the necessary vaccines during the visit—saving families time and helping students stay compliant with state requirements.
These school clinics help reduce missed school days, support community health, and ensure students are ready for a strong and healthy start to the new year.
