PCHD Receives 200 doses of the MODERNA COVID-19 Vaccine

The Pike County Health Department has received 200 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to distribute. We will begin notifying those who have pre-registered in order to start scheduling appointments by the end of the week.

Our first clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9th from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Church of Nazarene in Bowling Green, MO. This will be by appointment only. Only those on our pre-registration list will be eligible to make an appointment.

We hope to continue to receive small weekly shipments of vaccine so that we are able to have weekly vaccination clinics for those in our communities to receive the vaccine locally. As we receive more vaccine and schedule more vaccination clinics we will continue to work down our pre-registration list and contact those to make an appointment. You can still pre-register here.

A recent press release from the state mentions that they are “Committing about 53 percent of weekly allocations to selected hospitals, and approximately 23 percent will be devoted to regional mass vaccination events in partnership with local vaccine implementation teams and the Missouri National Guard. Eight percent will be allocated to local public health agencies, and another 8 percent will be received by federally qualified health centers. The remaining eight percent will go to any other enrolled providers, or “community providers,” requesting vaccine.”

We appreciate the support and patience of our community as we work to make these vaccine clinics easily accessible for all the residents of our county.

When registering by internet after submitting are we supposed to get a confirmation or anything?
