We received 200 doses of MODERNA that were administered on Tuesday, February 9th and soon after received an additional 300 vaccines where majority were administered on Wednesday, February 10th and the remaining to be administered on Wednesday, February 17th.
We feel that our clinics ran smoothly and will be able to continue the same process going forward. A big thank you to those who donated meals, snacks, flowers and more to our staff as we worked tirelessly to make these clinics successful. We are also very appreciative of the Church of the Nazarene for letting us transform their worship space into a COVID-19 Clinic, to the Pike County Memorial Hospital for having EMS on site, and for the Pike County Road & Bridge crew for keeping the parking lot clear of snow. This made for a great team and we are grateful for their assistance.
Our agency closed pre-registration Friday afternoon with a total of 1,111 registrants. We will continue to screen these registrants for eligibility and call them in order as more vaccine is received.
Once we have everyone on our current list vaccinated, we will inform the community how vaccine can be received from our agency. These notices will be made on our website, in our PCHD E-NEWS (this is the fastest way to get the info!), on our social media outlets, newspapers and KJFM Radio.
