We are your local Health Department, Home Health & Hospice Agency.
We are staffed with well-educated, caring, and dedicated staff that are passionate about the health and well being of our community. We offer numerous services that are all focused on a healthy and happy community including, but not limited to our Home Health and Hospice programs.

Our mission statement is to ensure the safety, wellness and comfort of the citizens of Pike County through the delivery of exceptional care and preventive services. We strive for access to quality health care for all, adaptability to emerging health issues, ethical care, integrity and trust 70+ years strong. We provide preventative care and primary care services for everyone, providing a lifetime of care to you and your family.

Our office is closed on all State and Federal Holidays: MLK Birthday, President's Day, Truman's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If a Holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. If the holiday falls on Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday. These are designated by the Board of Trustees and are observed by our office.
Our History - wow how we have grown!
1948 – Pike County Health Department becomes an official Public Health Department
1969 – Pike County Home Health services are now offered
1976 – WIC services begin
1993 – Pike County Hospice is born
2001 – The Home Care & Hospice Foundation of Pike County is established
2006 – The Hunter Behlmann Memorial Farm Safety for Just Kids Chapter is created
2006 – Lifeline Medical Alert Services are now offered
2008 – Diabetes Support Group is started
2010 – Diabetes Counseling Program begins
2011 – Agency officially moves into new building at Healthcare Place
2011 – Safe Sitter Training is now offered
2011 - The first annual Valentine Gala fundraiser event is introduced
2012 - Cookies and Cocoa with Santa initiates the annual holiday event for children
2013 – Became a Breastfeeding Friendly Worksite
2013 - The annual 5K run/walk is established
2014 – Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives of Pike County Coalition is established
2015 – Our Home Health & Hospice services expand into portions of Audrain and Montgomery Counties
2015 – Agency staffs a full time walk-in clinic nurse
2015 – Behavioral Health services are now provided
2016 - The first Veterans Appreciation Fair and Flag Dedication Ceremony was orchestrated
2017 - Home Health & Hospice Services Expanded!
2020 - Agency expands building to be able to offer more services to the community.

The following official state holidays and any other holidays as designated by the Board of Trustees are observed by our office. If a Holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. If the holiday falls on Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday.
