If you or a loved one are experiencing moods, thoughts and/or behaviors that are affecting you in such a way that you cannot function, enjoy or experience your life to the extent you desire, you may benefit from mental health services.

Please know that mental health issues, including mental illnesses, are extremely common. In fact, at any given time, 26% of the population is experiencing a mental health need. Some are temporary and some are long-term and all can be treated through a variety of services in and around Pike County, including support groups, help lines, medical care, and a helping hand.

Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives of Pike County is a partnership of different organizations helping the people of Pike County to recognize the importance of mental health, increase their knowledge and ability to seek help, and lead high quality, meaningful lives.

How Can You Help Yourself or Someone You Believe is Suffering?

First, be compassionate and don’t judge – this stops people from seeking help.

Second, know the resources available.

Third, make the call yourself or refer the person.

Our mission is to provide training, education and awareness to people who have contact with those who may be suffering with mental health issues. We believe every person is worthy of living a healthy life and knows how to seek help.

Time 2 Talk! Poster Contest Winners

Too many young people in our community are impacted by drugs and mental health issues, yet most are afraid to talk about these common problems, which intensifies the problem and builds the stigma. Together, we can develop a media campaign to spark conversation and make our county a healthier and happier place to grow up!
